DAVID RUSSELL MILLER

David Russell Miller, age 71, went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, April 13, 2021, at his home in Kimball, TN.

David was a lifelong resident of Marion County, TN, and a member of Jasper First Baptist Church. He retired from Buzzi Unicem USA (formerly Signal Mountain Cement Company) after 41 years of service.

Over the years, David has been an amateur radio operator (N4HQT), videographer, avid motorcycle rider, and lawn-care enthusiast.  

David is preceded in death by his parents, Ray Lester Miller & Blanche Inez Hughes Miller; father-in-law, James Kay Pittman; mother-in-law, Gladys Curtis Pittman; daughter, Melissa Page Miller; brothers, Lancel Edward Brewer, Raymond Lee Miller, & Samuel Houston Miller, brothers-in-law, Roy Lee Brackett, Billy Ray Muir, Curtis Lee Parmer, & Richard Lee Pittman; sisters-in-law, Alma Ruth Parmer & Sandra Shoemaker Pittman.

David is survived by his cherished wife, Brenda E. Miller, after 52 devoted and loving years of marriage; son, D. Bruce Miller; grandson, C. Seth (Madison) Dixon; sisters, Ruby Miller & Sue Featherston; brothers, George (Kathy) Miller, Donald (Gina) Miller, & Harold (Cheryl) Miller; sisters-in-law, Wanda (Joe) Hitchcock, Patty Gravitt, Carolyn Brackett, Margaret Muir, & Charlotte (Jim) Patterson, Marilyn Miller; brother-in-law, Eddie Pittman. He leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family would like thank Jim & Charlotte Patterson for their kindness and generosity during this special time. Thank you to his lifelong friend and physician Dr. Walter Parkhurst. And, special thanks to David’s number one companion, his English Bulldog, Prince Oliver.

In place of flowers, the family requests donations to Adoration Hospice 13535 Hwy. 28 Whitwell, TN 37397.  

The family will hold a private graveside service at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens on April 15, 2021, at 2:00 pm with Pastor Greg Steele officiating.
