CORY “C.J.” JAMES ALAN HAVNER

Cory “C.J.” James Alan Havner, 29 of Chickamauga, GA, passed away on Sunday, June 12, 2022.   C.J. is married to Jessica Gothard Havner.    He was born on September 23, 1992 to Calvin Dewayne Havner and Sharon Cantrell.  C.J. was self-employed as a construction worker.  He loved to fish and was a good-hearted man that loved his family and children.  C.J. was known for helping anyone in need and always protecting his family along with friends.  People loved being around him and he loved making everyone smile that crossed his path.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, James and Joyce McDaniel and Gary Kilgore; uncles, Jamie McDaniel and James Havner; aunt, Christel McDaniel; brother, Tyler Havner and sister, Jacqueline Gothard.

C.J. leaves his memories to his wife, Jessica Havner; father, Calvin Dewayne Havner; mother, Sharon Stoker (step-father, Jeff); son, Alan “A.J.” Havner; daughters, Kaylen Havner, Kylie Havner, Aliyah Havner, and Haylie Havner; sisters, Ashley (Chad) Quarles, Cassi (Zack) Brotherton, Alisha (Cody) Griffith and Chasity Martin; grandparents, James C. and Myra Havner; aunt, Rebecca Havner; uncles, William Havner, Jesse Havner, David Havner and Billy McDaniel; special family, Amber Merz, B.J. Elmore, T.J. Havner, and Jamie Gothard along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family will have visitation on Thursday, June 16, 2022 from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm CST and Friday, June 17, 2022 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm CST at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, TN.

Funeral service will be held in the Chapel of Tate Funeral Home following the Friday visitation at 3:00 pm CST with Brother Ronnie Case officiating.

Interment will follow at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens, Jasper, TN.

Pallbearers are Garren Appleton, David Havner, B.J. Elmore, Billy McDaniel, William Havner and Jesse Havner.
