Clara (Rheal) Shankles

CLARA SHANKLES

Clara Shankles, 90, of Chattanooga, Tennessee was called home on Friday, October 20, 2023.  She was born to the late Roy Rheal and Margie Stewart Rheal on March 10, 1933.  She worked as a general laborer for Cavalier Corporation before retiring.  Clara enjoyed cleaning, working with her flowers and doing yard work.  She was always so full of energy and was known to “outwork” all of the children.  She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Clara is preceded in death by her father, Roy Rheal; mother, Margie Stewart Rheal; husbands, Milton Eugene Billingsley, R. B. Shankles; brothers, Kenneth, Roy, J. D., Boyd and Ronnie Rheal; sisters, Ama Lee and Peggy Rheal and grandson, Derek Billingsley.

Left to cherish her memories are her sons, Terry (Sheryl) Billingsley, Tim Billingsley; daughters, Vicky (David) Lockmiller, Nancy (Randy) Winstead, Lynn (Greg) Jeffery, Barbara (Tommy) Dutto, Gail (Jeff) Lofty; brother, Gary Rheal; sister, Yvonne Morgan; sixteen grandchildren; several great grandchildren along with several nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Visitation is Tuesday, October 24, 2023, from 3:00 to 7:00 pm CST and on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm CST at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, Tennessee.

Funeral services are on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at 1:00 pm CST in the Chapel of Tate Funeral Home, Jasper, Tennessee with Reverend David Moses officiating.

She will be laid to rest on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at Pine Grove Cemetery in Jasper, Tennessee, immediately following the funeral service.

Pallbearers are Tyler Jeffery, Timothy Billingsley, Brandon Williford, Greg Cooley, Chad Billingsley and Josh Dutto.
