CHARLOTTE FRANCES WELCH NUNLEY

Charlotte Frances Welch Nunley, age 69 of South Pittsburg, TN, was called to her heavenly home on Sunday, April 26, 2020.    Charlotte was born on November 1, 1950 to the late Charles and Ella-Frances Louise Welch.   She was married to the late Leslie Eugene Nunley, Sr.  Charlotte was of the Church of God faith and attended Kimball Tabernacle Church in Kimball, TN.

Those preceded in death are her husband, Leslie Eugene Nunley, Sr.; her parents, Charles and Ella-Frances Louise Welch and grandson, Jody Eugene Nunley.

Charlotte leaves behind her loved ones to cherish memories are her son, Leslie (Stephanie) Eugene Nunley, Jr.; daughters, Melissa “Lisa” (Johnny) Murray and Frances (Mitchell) Matthews; grandchildren, James Colton Edwards, Brandon Lee Nunley, Leslie Eugene Nunley, III, and Amber Nicole Edwards and brother, Benjamin “Bennie” Welch and her beloved pet Sparky.

Charlotte Nunley was a very spontaneous person. As you look through her photos, she was very lively.  She always wore a smile on her face when she was around her family. Through her life, Charlotte enjoyed always living her life and listening to Elvis. Charlotte also enjoyed animals. Whether it was the humming birds that visited her feeder, or her rambunctious dog Sparky, or, in her earlier years, her three pet raccoons: Badger, Booger, and Outlaw. Lastly, one of her favorite things to do was eat at one of the local restaurants with her children. To give you a better understanding of just how much Charlotte enjoyed family get-togethers, she  told her family "Don't cry long, go eat.

Due to the Covid-19 Policy, there will be no formal visitation at Tate Funeral Home.  We ask all procedures be followed during this mandated Covid-19 policy.

The family has requested in lieu of flowers, donations please be made to St. Jude Burn Unit in memory of Charlotte Nunley.

The family will have a private graveside service on Wednesday, April 29, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Orme Mountain Church of God Cemetery in South Pittsburg, TN.

Pallbearers are Brandon Nunley, Leslie Nunley, Jr., Leslie Nunley, III, Johnny Murray, Dustin Young, Mitchell Matthews, Justin Bundy, Jonathon Rollins and Brandon Stephens.
