CHARLOTTE JOANNE LEE
Charlotte Joanne Lee, 82, of Whitwell, Tennessee was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, May 5, 2023. On February 13, 1941, she was born to the late Newton Jeffries and Lavern Andres Jeffries. She was married to the late James Lee and a member of Tabernacle of Praise Church. Charlotte loved crocheting, LSU football, crawfish boils and fish fries. Her children lovingly called her “A damn Yankee”. Christmas was her favorite holiday. She loved working in her flower beds, iris and lilies were her favorite. Charlotte’s favorite color was purple. She was a nurse for forty-two years. Charlotte had been part of a special Heart Cath team in Saudi Arabia. She loved and enjoyed her life to the fullest, especially her family. She was also a member of Eastern Star.
Charlotte is preceded in death by her father, Newton Jeffries, Ned Harris; mother, Lavern Andres Jeffries Harris; husband, James Lee and brother, David Harris.
Left to cherish her memories are her sons, James William Lee, Jeffery Paul (Sabrina) Lee; daughters, Joy Katherine (Spencer) Plowman, Jackie (Roland) Boudroux, Nedra (Keith) Goolesby; brother, William (Joann) Harris; eleven grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.
Visitation is Monday, May 8, 2023, from 12:00 to 8:00 pm CST and on Tuesday, May 9, 2023, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm CST. The Nursing Association will perform Last Call before the funeral service at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, Tennessee.
Funeral services are Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at 1:00 pm CST in the Chapel of Tate Funeral Home with Brother Darrell Nunley and Pastor Jeff Nelson officiating.
Burial is Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens in Jasper, Tennessee immediately following the funeral service.
Pallbearers are Spencer Forbuss, Chris Probasco, Jeff Hart, Travis Lee, Jeff Lee and Keith Lee.
