CHARLES THOMAS KELLY, II

As the Lord took the loving hand of Charles “Thomas” Kelly, II, age 50, He said it’s time to come to your heavenly home Thomas.   After a brief illness, Thomas walked through the pearly gates on Tuesday, August 31, 2021.  Thomas was a lifetime resident of Marion County and resident in Jasper, TN where he lived with his wife, Christy Kelly.    He was born on May 13, 1971 to the late Charles “Tommy” Thomas Kelly, Sr. and Hazel Durham Kelly.      

Thomas was a graduate of the Marion County High School and played football for the MCHS Warriors.   He was currently employed with the Marion County Sheriff’s Department and served as a dispatcher.   Thomas was a loving husband, father to his sons, caring son to his mother, Hazel and a loyal friend.   His dedication was making memories with his sons.   In his pastime, he enjoyed watching football, NASCAR and going bowling.  Thomas had a heart of gold, a love for life, compassion, and always the gift of leaving you with a smile on your face.  He never met a stranger because his goal was to always touch someone’s heart and leave a memory.      Thomas will never be forgotten because of the impact he made to his family, friends and this community.

He is preceded in death by his father, Charles “Tommy” Thomas Kelly, Sr.

Thomas leaves his years of memories to his wife, Christy Kelly; his mother, Hazel Durham Kelly; sons, Trey Kelly, Jacob Kelly, Zyrus Kennemore and Zaylen Kennemore along with a host of family and friends.

WITH THIS BEING A PUBLIC VISITATION AND FUNERAL SERVICE, MASK WILL BE MANDATORY PER COVID REGULATIONS WHETHER YOU HAVE UNDERLYING ISSUES OR NOT.

The family will have visitation on Saturday, September 4, 2021 from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm CST and Sunday, September 5, 2021 from 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm CST at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, TN.  

Funeral service will be held in the Chapel of Tate Funeral Home following the visitation on Sunday at 2:00 pm CST with Pastor Roger Webb officiating.

Pallbearers are Chris Webb, Jeff Keef, Travis Reed, David Brady, Anthony Gamble, Scott Cash, Jonathan Wingo, Charlie Rittenberry, Moby Henderson and Justin Graham.

Honorary Pallbearers are employees of the Marion County Sheriff Department.

Interment will follow at New Hope Cemetery, Pine Grove Road, New Hope, TN.
