Charles “Pete” Edward Guess

CHARLES “PETE” EDWARD GUESS

Charles “Pete” Edward Guess, 81 years old, entered the heavenly gates on Saturday, September 19, 2020.   Charles was born on February 2, 1939 to Charlie and Thelma Guess.  He had been a lifetime resident of Jasper, TN and of the Church of God faith.   Charles served in the United State Army and he had been employed with Combustion EngineerIng as a Boilermarker.      He loved his family, loved having a cup of coffee and in his pastime enjoyed fishing. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Thelma Guess; daughter, Maxine Guess Ward and two brothers, Carthell Guess and Albert Guess.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife of 42 years, Shirley Guess; step-son, Richard D. Huckabee; daughters, Lajuan (James) Jenkins and Pam (Phil) Jean Easterly; step-daughters, Pam Jean Owensby and Shellie (Terry) L. Worch; brothers, Jerry (Roxie) Guess, Bud (Patty) Guess and Billy (Sandy) Guess; sister-in-laws, Pearl Guess and Judy Guess along with several grandchildren and great-grandchildren along with a host of nieces and nephews and special friends  

The family will have visitation on Thursday, September 24, 2020 from 11:00 am CST to 1:00 pm CST at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, TN.

The graveside service and interment will be held following the visitation at 1:30 pm CST at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens in Jasper, TN with Chaplin Rob Cravens officiating.
