CECIL “SKIPPER” BARNES
Cecil “Skipper” Barnes, 58, of Jasper, Tennessee was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 9, 2023. He was born to the late Tom Cecil Barnes and Mary Katherine Hall Barnes on April 18, 1964. Cecil was married to Kathy Wilson Barnes and was a member of Full Gospel Community Church. He worked as a Computer Technician for Red Stone Arsenal. Cecil loved joking and picking on people. He loved music, bass guitars and grilling. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially fishing with his daughter and loved his dog. Skipper had a very special relationship with his mother-in-law Linda White.
Cecil Is preceded in death by his father, Tom Cecil Barnes; mother, Mary Katherine Hall Barnes and brother, John Barnes.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Kathy Wilson Barnes; daughters, Nikki (Hunter) Fields, Morgann Ybanez and Jeremy Burrage; sister, Susan Simcox; grandchild, Monroe “Roro” Creekmore along with several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held on May 6, 2023, at the residence of Kathy Wilson Barnes, 327 Loop Road, Jasper, Tennessee 37347 at 3:00 pm CST with Pastor Rod McGill, Pastor David Berry and Pastor Loranda Siler officiating.
