CAROL HARDY UNDERWOOD

Carol Hardy Underwood, age 78, of Chattanooga, Tennessee passed away on Sunday, October 27, 2024.  She was born in Kimball, Tennessee on April 24, 1946. She graduated from City High School in Chattanooga, Tennessee.   Carol managed several credit unions in the Chattanooga area, (Chattanooga Glass Company, IBEW and Memorial Credit Union).  She was an avid seamstress, bowler, and card player.  Carol enjoyed spending time with her family, friends, and especially her grandson, Brandon.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Underwood; parents, Albert and Louise Hardy of Chattanooga, Tennessee; sisters, Ada Hardy of Kimball, Tennessee, Kilah Lentz of Tullahoma, Tennessee, Anna Jean Price of Flintstone, Georgia; son, Anthony Shelton Nichols of Chattanooga, Tennessee; stepson, Michael Underwood of Chattanooga, Tennessee.

She is survived by her daughter, Angie (Michael) Layne of Chattanooga, Tennessee; grandson, Brandon Layne of Chattanooga, Tennessee; stepson, Chuck (Kim) Nichols of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Jim Hardy of Pensacola, Florida, Mary Jo (Frank) Batey of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Pat (Jim) Tucker of Jasper, Tennessee; numerous nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
