BUDDY NEWELL FREEMAN

Buddy Newell Freeman, 74, of Jasper, Tennessee was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, March 3, 2024.  On October 21, 1949, he was born to Neta Freeman Smith.  He was married to the late Teresa Freeman.  Buddy was a retired Truck Driver and attended Amazing Grace Chapel where he played bass guitar.  Buddy enjoyed building, working on and fixing anything he could, and was known to be a jack of all trades. He loved Teresa, his children, his grandchildren, God, and his church.

Buddy is preceded in death by his mother, Neta Smith and wife, Teresa Freeman.

Left to cherish his memories are his son, Zachary Taylor Merritt; daughters, Cindy (Clinton) Cooksey; Kathryn Teresa (Jonathan) Jarrett, Ashley Nicole (Robie) Chapa, Michele (Freddy) Waldrop; grandchildren, Savannah Cooksey, Carrie Hutchins, Kylie Hutchinson, Stephen Cooksey, Bret Waldrop, Walker Hutchinson, Justin Wilson; great grandchildren, Hagen Waldrop, and McKenna Grace Mathews.

Visitation is Sunday, March 10, 2024, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm CT at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, Tennessee.

Funeral services are Sunday March 10, 2024, at 4:00 in the Chapel of Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, Tennessee with Pastor Steve Patterson.
