BRENDA JOYCE EVANS SLATTON

Brenda Joyce Evans Slatton, at the age of 64 years old, left her earthly home to walk through the gates of her heavenly home on Thursday, May 21, 2020.   Brenda was born on January 17, 1956 to Dewey “Dick” Evans and Mary Sisk Evans.  Brenda had been a lifetime resident of Jasper, TN and was of the Baptist faith.  

Brenda loved and adored her children, grandchildren and family.   Her greatest admiration was the joy she spent with her Mom, grandchildren, nieces and nephews.   Her heart was so fond of loving her babies.    Brenda enjoyed life to the fullest and always made each day a new adventure.

She is preceded in death by her father, Dick Evans; son, Joshua Lynn Slatton; brothers, Jerry Don Evans and Jimmy Ray Evans; nephews, Jonathan Ray Evans and Christopher Michael Evans and niece, Carolyn Brook Evans. 

Those left to cherish her memories are her mother, Mary Evans; father of her children, Ricky Slatton; daughter, Ryan (Donald) Holloway; brothers, Kenneth Evans, James Evans, Paul Wayne (Deb) Evans, Roger (Sheila) Evans; Ronnie (Lucy) Evans; sister, Cathie (Wesley) Brown; sister in law, Audrey Evans; grandchildren, Haley Matthews, Jared Slatton, Brandon Slatton and Caden Slatton: great-grandson, John Steven Beene along with a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great nephews and numerous friends.

The family will have a private visitation before the graveside service on Sunday, May 24, 2020 at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, TN.

There will be a graveside service for Brenda on Sunday, May 24, 2020 at 2:00 pm CDT at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens in Jasper, TN with Pastor Robert Cravens officiating.
