BILLY KAY HAMILTON

Billy Kay Hamilton, 78, of Whitwell, Tennessee, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, July 4, 2026.  Born on July 7, 1947, in Dunlap, Tennessee, Billy was the son of the late Kay David Hamilton and Mable Richardson Hamilton. Throughout his life, he was known for his strong work ethic, kind heart, and unwavering love for his family.  Billy loved landscaping, where he took great pride in creating and caring for the beauty of God's creation. He was a faithful member of Sequatchie Mountain Baptist Church, where he cherished his church family and lived out his Christian faith.  An outdoorsman at heart, Billy found joy in spending time outside, whether he was working in his garden, camping, or simply enjoying nature. He also loved attending family gatherings, sharing meals with those he loved, and making lasting memories with family and friends. Above all else, Billy treasured the time he spent with his family. His love, guidance, and steady presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.  Though his earthly journey has ended, Billy leaves behind a legacy of faith, hard work, and unconditional love that will continue to inspire those whose lives he touched.  He will be lovingly remembered and forever missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Billy is preceded in death by his father, Kay David Hamilton; mother, Mable Richardson; stepmother, Hester Imogene Hamilton; brothers, Wayne Hamilton, Robert Hamilton, Johnny Young, Bobby Hamilton, Tommy Hamilton; sisters, Lois Ann Hamilton, and Judy Grimes.

Left to cherish his memory are his brothers, Mike (Ann)Tinker, Dennis (Ronda) Hamilton, Jerry Hamilton, Chris Hamilton; sisters, Margaret (Eddie) Perry, Velma Jean (Bo) Easterly, Mary Ruth (Bobby) Blair, Betty (Rexy) Slatton; several nieces, nephews; grand nieces, nephews; other family members and friends.

Visitation is on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm CST at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, Tennessee.

Funeral services are on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, Tennessee with Pastor Roger Webb and Pastor Corey Hamilton officiating.

Billy will be laid to rest on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at Sardis Cemetery in Whitwell, Tennessee immediately after the funeral service.

Pallbearers are Dennis Hamilton, Chase Hamilton, Jerry Hamilton, Dakota Huffstuttler, Wayne Huffstuttler, Issac Hamilton, Kyle Huffstuttler, and Josh Grimes.
