BILL G. SAYLER
The family of Bill G. Sayler would like to announce that heaven has gained a new brick layer. After many years as church elder, husband, father, grandfather and friend to many, Bill's heavenly application has been accepted and he has moved his tools to his new work at his Lord’s side. Bill’s earthly service began in the army where he served in Greenland, after the army, he helped TVA survey the routes for power lines to bring electricity to our community. After his time at TVA, Bill worked bringing coal from the mines in Whitwell at night while practicing the profession of brick laying, that he learned from his father, during the day.
Bill is preceded in death by his father, John R Sayler; Mother Bessie Crowe; brothers Jim Van Sayler and John"Turkey" Sayler; sisters Molly Sayler, and Jennie Brazier; and son in law, Doug Peacock.
Bill lives on in the memories of his wife of 54 years, Ruth Perry Sayler; his children Kathy, April (Doug), Billy (Tonya), his sister Rebecca Huckabee and his grandchildren Elijah, John Tytus, Benjamin, Brennon, and Elleson; as well as several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Bill's life will be held Saturday August 12, 2023, at 5p.m. at the Church of Christ at Whitwell Tennessee.
