BESSIE L. LAYNE

Bessie L. Layne, 96, Jasper, Tennessee was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 14, 2023.  On October 3, 1926, she was born to the late Frank Lawson and Martha Miller Lawson.  She was married to the late Roy P. Layne.  Bessie enjoyed sewing and making clothes and working in the garden.  She loved mowing and helping people. She contributed with Popular Grove Church of God when they built the new church.

Bessie is preceded in death by her father, Frank Lawson; mother, Martha Miller Lawson; brother, Scott Lawson; sister, Jennie Lawson.

She leaves her memories to her son, Mickey Layne, close niece, Scottie Justen and her son, Edward Justen along with several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, from 11:00 am to 12:00 Noon CST at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, Tennessee.

There will be a graveside service on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at 12:00 Noon with Roger Webb officiating.

Pallbearers are Pete Blevins, Johnny Spangler, Don Layne and Buddy Freeman, Brian Hatfield.
