Barry Duane Shirley 

Barry D. Shirley, 61, of Whitwell, Tennessee, went home to be with his Lord Friday, December 18, 2020.  He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Albert Shirley, step-father, George Day, mother-in-law, Geraldine Sisk; grand-parents, Hestel and Florence Shirley and Claude and Ebbie Hixson; sons, Brandon and Landon Shirley; brother, James Timothy Shirley; brother-in-law, Randy Sisk. 

Barry is survived by his mother, Patricia Faye Day; Janice Sisk Shirley, wife of 39 years; son, Bryan Tyler Shirley (Jessica); sister, Regina Ables (Randy); brother in laws, Johnny (Sherri) Sisk and Jackie Sisk and father-in-law, Johnny Sisk. 

Barry worked in Logistics at Saia. He volunteered for Crossroads Fire Department for many years.  He was an active member of his church, Whitwell Church of God.  He loved his family and enjoyed time with his family and eating! In his free time he enjoyed riding his motorcycle. 

The family will be having a private visitation on Sunday, December 20, 2020 from 3:00 to 6:00 pm cst at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, TN. 

Internment will be on Monday, December 21, 2020 at 2:00 pm CT at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Garden with Brother John Helenthal and Brother Jim Mulkey officiating.

Due to the CDC regulations, the family is requesting that mask be worn the at the graveside service and social distancing is observed.
