Barbara E (Layne) Dill

BARBARA E. LAYNE DILL

The Lord called Barbara E. Layne Dill, age of 69 years old, home on Saturday, May 30, 2020 with her family at her side.    Barbara was born on May 28, 1951 and was from Jasper, TN.  She was of the Church of God faith and a member of Cumberland Mountain Church of God in Whitwell, TN. 

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, Jesse Howard Layne and Eather Slatton Layne; mother-in-law, Mary Lou Dill; daughter, Teresa Ann Dill and brother, Albert Layne.

Those left to cherish her memories are her husband, Walter Lee Dill; sons, Randall (Connie) L. Dill and Billy Joe (LaRonda Pickett) Dill; daughter, Rebecca “Becky” (Phillip) Dill-Melton; brother, J.C. Layne (Ida); sisters, Patsy (Steve) Carter, Agnes (Mike) Turner and Anna Lou Myers; six grandchildren, Joshua Dill, Shelana Dill, Brittany (Dakota) Hinkles,  Erica Fulfer, Kristen Dill and Emily Fulfer; four great-granddaughters, Ashley Dill, Allison Dill, Dailee Thacker and Emma  Thacker along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Barbara spent her time cooking, fishing, camping, and most of all spending time with her family.    Her favorite hobbies were working her daily puzzle books, watching movies and playing video games. 

The family will have a private visitation on Wednesday, June 3, 2020 from 10:00 am to 10:45 am CDT at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, TN.   

The graveside service will follow the visitation at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens in Jasper, TN at 11:00 am CDT with Pastor Jerry Basham officiating.
