BARBARA ANN (DALTON) BELK
Barbara Ann (Dalton) Belk, 79, was taken to her heavenly home on Thursday, March 12, 2026, in the Hospice of Chattanooga Care Center. A loving wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother she was born on August 15, 1946, Barbara was a long-time member of Baptist Hill Baptist Church in Jasper, Tennessee. She loved to garden her flowers and cook, two life-long passions passed down from her loving mother. She was retired from Memorial Hospital Pharmacy in Chattanooga, Tennessee and loved to travel with her husband and family to the beach. She served God and loved her family, her friend, and her church family. She will be dearly missed.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, James William “Buddy” Belk; parents, Isaac “Jack” and Bertha Dalton; parent-in-laws, Claude and Thelma “Penny” Belk; infant son, William Stanley Belk; 8 brothers and sisters; and several in-laws.
Left to cherish her memory, she is survived by her daughter, Sharon Belk Davis (Jim) of Rossville, GA; son Jeffery Belk of Chattanooga; grandson, Andrew Rector (Krissi) of Venice, Fl; two great-grandchildren, Kaleigh and Elijah Rector of Venice, Fl; sister-in-law, Polly Taylor of Jasper, TN; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation is Sunday, March 15, 2026, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm CST at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, Tennessee.
Funeral services are on Sunday, March 15, 2026, at 2:00 pm CST in the Chapel of Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, Tennessee with Pastor Roger Webb and Pastor Steve Sellers officiating.
Barbara will be laid to rest on Sunday, March 15, 2026, at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens in Jasper, Tennessee immediately following the funeral service.
Pallbearers are Andy Rector, Mike Dalton, Don Dalton, Jim Davis, Elijah Rector and Zachary Dalton.
The family would like to thank the caring staff of Hospice of Chattanooga for their loving support.
