ARLEN L. CHAPMAN
Arlen L. Chapman, 76, a resident of Marion County, Tennessee died July 24, 2023. On September 8, 1946, he was born to the late Otis L. Chapman and Eva Tyson Chapman. Arlen was a member of Kelly’s Ferry Church of God where he was a Church Sunday School Superintendent. He was a retired Insurance Agent and loved showing horses, his old truck and car and enjoyed fishing.
Arlen is preceded in death by his father, Otis L. Chapman; mother, Eva Tyson Chapman; wife, Dorris I. Chapman; son, Arlen L. “Vern” Chapman, Jr.; brother, Larry S. Chapman and grandson, Shane Chapman.
Survivors include his sons, Gregory B. (Sabrina) Chapman, Michael A. (Starlana) Chapman; sister, Brenda (Al) York; sisters-in-law, Betty Chapman, Gay McDaniel, brother-in-law, James B. Fox, Sr.; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren nieces, nephews, and special friend Mike Burrell.
Visitation is Wednesday, July 26, 2023, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm CST (5:00 to 9:00 pm ET) and on Thursday, July 27, 2023, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm CST (12:00 Noon to 2:00 pm ET) at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, Tennessee.
Funeral services are on Thursday, July 27, 2023, at 1:00 pm CST (2:00 pm ET) in the Chapel of Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, Tennessee with Pastor Mike Williams officiating.
Burial will be on Thursday, July 27, 2023, at Lakewood Memory Garden West Cemetery in Chattanooga, Tennessee immediately following the funeral service.
Pallbearers are Gregory B. Chapman, Michael A. Chapman, John Sewell with Honorary pallbearers Jeff Fox and Mike Burrell.
