ANNETTE “PEE WEE” THOMAS COUNTS

As the angels sang, the Lord welcomed Annette “Pee Wee” Thomas Counts, 56, to her heavenly home on Wednesday, April 6, 2022.  Pee Wee was married to the late Greg Counts and was a resident of Jasper, TN.     She was born on July 2, 1965 and was the daughter of her fathers, the late James “Chigger” Boggs, the late Richard Allen Thomas and mother, the late Joann Thomas Boggs.       Pee Wee had been employed for numerous years as a cook at the Pizza Hut in Kimball, TN. 

She was of the Baptist faith and loved her Lord and Savior.   Pee Wee’s life consisted of loving and being with her children and grandchildren.   Her favorite time with her family was celebrating on special holidays.    Pee Wee had a spirit of love, a smile always on her face and she never met a stranger.   Her heart was giving, she cherished those that had crossed her path and she never turned away from anyone in need of a shoulder.   She had the love of collecting Hot Wheel Cars and collecting tea pots.   She was an avid fan of the Tennessee Volunteers and spending time at the beach with family and friends. 

Pee Wee is preceded in death by her husband, Greg Counts; parents, James “Chigger” Boggs, Richard Allen Thomas and Joann Thomas Boggs.

She leaves her beautiful memories to her significant other, Johnny Anderson; sons, Aaron (Vanessa) Counts and Adam Counts; daughters, Alicia (Tracey Henry) Counts, Candace (Eric) Payne and Ceilie Counts; brother, Denny Gholston; sisters, Janet (Larry) Wilson, Cindy (Roger) Mathews, Chris (Jerome) Powell and Gretchen Parker; grandchildren, Josh Morgan, Tucker Counts, Trystan Counts, Trace Martin, Janna McElhaney and Patrick McElhaney; special friends, Edith Jordan and Jennifer Westmoreland along with several nieces, nephews and host of friends.

The family will have visitation on Friday, April 8, 2022 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm CST and Saturday, April 9, 2022 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm CST at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, TN. 

Funeral service will be held in the Chapel of Tate Funeral Home following the visitation at 1:00 pm CST with Pastor Darrell Nunley officiating.

Interment will follow the funeral service at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Jasper, TN.  

Pallbearers are Aaron Counts, Adam Counts, Johnny Gilliam, Johnathon Rollins, Denny Gholston and Johnny Anderson.
