Amos Callaway Davis

AMOS CALLAWAY DAVIS, 83 of Jasper, TN, passed away on Tuesday, November 2, 2021.  Amos was of the Methodist faith and was a member of Cornersville United Methodist Church.  Amos was married to the love of his life, Marian Davis for forty-four years. He loved watching UT football and working in his garden.  Amos loved his family and cats and loved spending time with them.  Amos served as Former Mayor of the City of Cornersville and Former President of Cornersville Senior Citizens Organization.  He also served in the National Guard.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John White Davis and Lottie Reeves Davis; brother, R.L. Davis; and sister, Mattie Lee Shadrick.

Amos leaves his memories to his wife, Marian Davis; son, Darrell (Debbie) Davis; granddaughter, Brittney (Brandon) Watley; great grandchildren, Dominic, Tionna, Veronica, and John Watley.

The family will have visitation on Thursday, November 4, 2021, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm CST at Tate Funeral home.  Also on Friday, November 5, 2021, from 9:00 am CST to 10:30 am CST.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, November 5, 2021, at 10:30 am CST in the chapel of Tate Funeral Home with Pastor Debbie Davis officiating the service.

Interment following the funeral service will be at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens of Jasper, TN.
