AMBER LAFAYE NEWSOM

Amber Lafaye Newsom, 40, of Jasper, Tennessee was called to her Heavenly home on Sunday, December 18, 2022.  She was born on June 24, 1982 to Ricky and Sandra Newsom.  She was of the Baptist Faith.  Amber had such a passion and love for children, she pursued a degree in Early Childhood Education and had been a teacher at Swiss Memorial, Jasper Elementary, Whitwell Head Start, and South Pittsburg Elementary.  Some of her favorite time spent was being employed at Cracker Barrel.  Amber never met a stranger.  To know her was to love her, she always had the brightest smile on her face.

Amber is preceded in death by her Pap, Johnny G. Parker; grandparents, David and Patsy Newsom; uncle, Hugh Payne; and her Aunt Wanda.

Amber leaves all her memories to her parents, Ricky and Sandy Newsom; sister, Cassie (Josh) Thacker; nephews, Eli, Ethan and Eian Thacker; numerous uncles, aunts and cousins along with a host of special friends.

Visitation is Tuesday, December 20, 2022, from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm CST and on Wednesday, December 21, 2022, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm CST at Tate Funeral Home, in Jasper, Tennessee.

Funeral services are Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at 2:00 pm CST in the Chapel of Tate Funeral Home, in Jasper, Tennessee, with Brother Mark Hammond officiating.

Amber will be laid to rest following the funeral service at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens, Jasper, Tennessee.

Pallbearers are Derrick Parker, Bubba Newsom, Tugboat Parker, Darrin Vinard, Elbert Gore, Katrina Parker and James Payne.
