ALLAN D. WEEKS

After a brief illness, the Lord took the strong hand of Allan D. Weeks, 63, to lead him to his heavenly home.    Allan was a resident of Jasper, TN and was known by everyone throughout the Marion County community and adjoining counties.   He was born on May 18, 1958, to Hubert Weeks and the late, Bettye Jo McKee Weeks.     

Allan was a man that worshipped his family and especially had the greatest love for his grandchildren.    His career as a criminal investigator began 25 years ago when he went to work for the State of Tennessee in the 12th Judicial District.   Allan served from 1993 until he retired in 2019.   Before this position, Allan had served in law enforcement from 1978 to 1993 as a police officer for the City of Jasper and Marion County Sheriff’s Department.   He also served on the Marion County Drug Task Force.   Allan was an avid golfer; he had a love for cooking and enjoyed the time cooking and being with his family. 

He was a member of the Olive Branch Lodge #297 where he had served as Past Master along with being a member of the Sequatchie Valley Shrine Club where he served as Past President. 

Allan was preceded in death by his mother, Bettye Jo McKee Weeks and brother, Eric Weeks.

His memories will be left to his father, Hubert Weeks; sons, Josh (Jennifer) Weeks and Jake (Lacey) Weeks; sisters, Patti (Chuck) Steele and Amy (Darrell) Layne; grandchildren, Bryce Weeks, Brody Weeks and Macie Weeks along with several nieces, nephews, years of friends and great-nephew, Rhett Allen Ramsey that was born on the day of Allan's funeral service.

The family will have visitation on Saturday, March 12, 2022, from 4:00 pm to 7:30 pm CST at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, TN.    Visitation will also be held on Sunday, March 13, 2022, from 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm CST.

A Masonic Lodge Ceremony will be conducted at 7:30 pm CST following the visitation on Saturday night.

Funeral service will be held in the Chapel of Tate Funeral Home at 2:00 pm CST with Pastor Roger Webb officiating.

Interment will follow the funeral service at Pinehaven Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 28615 US Highway 72 E, Hollywood, AL.

Pallbearers will be Cam Steele, Chase Steele, Austin Layne, Bubba Ramsey, Wayne Jordan, Greg Rowe, Butch Holland and Tim Allison.

The family has requested in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Marion County Sheriff's Department, 5 North Oak Avenue, Jasper, TN  37347, "Christmas for Kids" in memory of Allan Weeks and Marion County Baseball "On Deck Club" c/o of Josh Weeks, 1899 Ketner Cove Road, Whitwell, TN  37397.
