Shirley Katherine Rector Smith

 

Shirley Smith. of South Pittsburg, Tn., passed away at her home on Friday, January 3, 2020.

Shirley loved writing, loved flowers and her dolls.  She loved her children and grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Marvin Rector, Sr. and Vinnie Braden Rector; brothers, Marvin Rector, Jr. and Herman Adams; sisters, Mary Smith, Inez Rector, Louise Rector, Marie Rector Carter; great granddaughter, Ava Smith.

The loved ones left to cherish her memories are her sons, Barry Chamberlain(Susan), Jonathan Long; daughter, Dory Smith; brother, James Rector. Grandchildren Courtney, Cassie(James), Tylor(Ariel), Alex, Ashley(Caleb) and Jakob.  Great grandchildren Catherine, Aubree and Madalynn along with several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 5, 2020 from 1 pm to 8 pm CT and on Monday, January 6, 2020 at 11 am until time of service.

The funeral will be conducted on Monday, January 6, 2020 at 2 pm CT in the chapel with Pastor Dave Berry officiating.

Interment will follow at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Garden in Jasper, TN.
