Roger Dale Rector

The Lord said its time to come home to Roger Dale Rector at the young age of 62 years old on Monday, April 8th, 2019.   Roger was a lifetime resident of South Pittsburg, Tennessee along with graduating from South Pittsburg High School.

Roger dedicated many years and developed loving friendships during his years with Lodge Manufacturing Company in South Pittsburg, TN.  Even though he retired early he loved to go back and visit the friends he made.

He loved his family and friends along with his church family at Grace Baptist Church in South Pittsburg, TN.

Roger enjoyed woodworking, scrapbooking, genealogy and studying US and local history.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Mabel Rector and sister, Darlene Rector Moore.

Those to carry on his legacy are his wife, Sibyl Rector; daughter, Amy (Kelley) Wagner; grandchildren, Austin Graem Turner and Jasmine Hazleton and great-grandchildren, Zoey and Katherine Chambers.  Roger also leaves behind several uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews.

The family would like to acknowledge and give thanks for the love and support provided by Lanar Wilburn and Lynne and Jesse Wagner during this time to Roger and their family.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 10th, 2019 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm CDT at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, Tennessee. 

Visitations will also be held at Grace Baptist Church from 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm CDT on Thursday, April 11th, 2019.

Funeral services will be held at Grace Baptist Church in South Pittsburg, TN on Thursday, April 11th, 2019 at 2:00 pm CDT with Pastor Ronnie Case officiating.

Roger will be laid to rest following the funeral services at Gilliam Cemetery in Battle Creek, Tennessee.
