Robert "Mitch" Thacker

Robert Mitchell Thacker,49, of Whitwell, TN, passed away Friday, August 3, 2018.

Robert worked at Collins Building Supply for 12 years and was a member of The Original Church of God of Bankston, AL. He loved fishing and Alabama football. 

He was preceded in death by his Mother, Paulette Parrish; brother, Melvin Thacker; grandparents, Murphy Pete Corkerin and Mamie Corkerin and Mack (Addine) Parrish; several Aunts and Uncles; nephew, Malachi Thacker.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Vanessa Thacker; sons, Josh (Cassie) Thacker and Cody Thacker and like a son Chris (Christie) Nuckols; grandsons, Eli, Ethan, Eian Thacker; brother, Robert “Peanut” (Marty) Parrish; sisters, Betty Sagely, Paula (Joey) Halbrook; father, Robert Parrish; sister-in-law, Kristi Thacker; a host of nieces and nephews; several  great –nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Sunday, August 5, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. CST.

Funeral Services will be conducted from the Tate Funeral Home Chapel Monday, August 6, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. CST with Bro. Doug Ramsey, Bro. Jarvis Johnson and Bro. Mark Hammond officiating.

Interment will follow at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens.
