Richard Barnes

Richard Barnes Sr., 64 , of Jasper, TN , passed away at his home on Saturday, October 14, 2017.

Richard was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jasper. He  was a Past Master at the Marion Masonic Lodge 515 of South Pittsburg, TN. He was the Founder of Barnes Tire in Jasper , TN and he was Vice Chairman of the Board of Sequatchie Valley Electric Co-op. He was also an Eagle Scout and he served in The National Guard for 6 years.

He was preceded in death by his fathers Walter Alvin King & Robert Barnes.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 45 years Connie Barnes; his mother Pauline Barnes; son Rick (Ann) Barnes ; daughter Stephanie (Buddy) Durham;  sisters Barbara (Larry) Jones, Kristi (Tracy) Wooden; grandchildren Beth Barnes, Stephen Barnes, Denson Durham , Dru Durham, Nicole Smith & Emily Bryson; Best Friend Jim Blevins.

Visitation will be Monday, October 16, 2017 from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. with a Masonic Service conducted at 6:30 p.m. CST. Visitation will also be Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. until time of service.

Funeral Services will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel Tuesday , October 17, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. CST with Deacon Herb Gravitt and friend Jim Blevins officiating with Full Military Honors presented by the Sequatchie Valley Honor Guards.

Interment will follow at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens.
