Norma Jean Gass

​Norma Jean Gass, 80, of Sequatchie, TN, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, January 27, 2018.

​Known to her family as Jean, she was the oldest of her siblings. She enjoyed a 50-year career as a registered nurse, including serving as Head Nurse on the Second Floor at Memorial Hospital and then as Night Supervisor at Parkwood (NHC).

​She was preceded in death by her parents Roland Gass Sr. and Mildred Henegar Gass; niece Tammye Day.

​Those left to cherish her memory are her sister Phyllis (John) Pope of Dalton, GA,  Ann (Tony) Songer; brother Buddy (Chris) Gass Jr. both of Sequatchie Mt., TN; dearly loved by her nieces and nephews, Keith (Nancy) Songer of Farmville, NC, Bill Day (Chad) of Hixson, TN, Debbie (Steve) Sharp of Tallahassee, FL., Danny (Christie) Day of New Albany, MS, Kellye (Eric) Holmes of Soddy Daisy, TN, Jeff (Beth) Gass and Aimee (Anthony) Ables of Sequatchie Mt., TN; several great nieces and nephews.

​Family will receive friends Sunday, February 4, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. CST until time of Service at 3:00 p.m. CST.

​A Memorial Service will be conducted from the Tate Funeral Home Chapel Sunday, February 4, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. CST with Minister Billy Watkins and Pastor Tim Brown officiating.
