On the brisk Saturday morning on March 9, 2019, the Lord called Nancy Ann Stamper Ramsey home. Nancy was 70 years old and lived in the Whitwell, Tennessee area all of her life. Nancy graduated from Whitwell High School as the Salutatorian in her class of 1966. She was married to Jack Ramsey for 52 years at the time of her going home.
Nancy was a devoted wife, sister, mother and grandmother however her greatest accomplishments were assisting raising and teaching her grandchildren the knowledge of life. She was also an excellent cook, she adored flowers along with working in her flower beds, and most of all she loved her family and grandchildren. Her heart was devoted to her dog “Ching” along with “dog sitting” with her sister’s dog “Punkin”.
Her talents included being an amazing writer along with being a beautiful pianist. Nancy had a gift of loving anyone that came into her path. She was a member of Mineral Springs Church of God and Morning Star Baptist. Nancy devoted her life to serving the Lord her family and friends.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Rufus and Octie Stamper.
Her loved ones to carry on her memories are; her husband, Jackie “Jack” Ramsey; her daughter, Rhonda (Terry) Farriss; her sister, Ruthie (Charles) McEntyre; her two grandchildren, Ashtyn and Tanner Farriss; niece, Allison Gaharan; great nephews, Eamon and Carey Mac Gaharan and “special friend”, Bobby Walker.
Visitation will be held with family and friends at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, Tennessee on Sunday, March 10th, 2019 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 CDT.
A funeral service will be held in the chapel of Tate Funeral Home on Monday, March 11th, 2019 at 11:00 am CDT.
Interment will be held at a later date.
Donations may be made to the American Heart Association in the memory of Nancy Ramsey.
