Minnie Ida King

The angels delivered Minnie Ida King, at the age of 81, home to her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, April 9th, 2019.  Minnie was a lifetime resident of South Pittsburg, Tennessee where she grew up along with raising her family.

Minnie taught her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces under her Baptist faith by knowing her loving God.     She loved the nature of the outdoors, flowers, playing with her grandchildren, her animals, and most of all reading.     She had a love of God’s beauty by “just being outside”.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Jo Roberts; son, Bruce King; grandson, Steven King and her children’s father, Walter (Buddy) King.

Those left to carry on her memories are her sons, Alvin (Kim) King and Kenneth King; daughters, Mary Pritchett and Roberta King; special daughter-in-laws, Shirley King and Barbara King; sister, Evalee Cates; grandchildren, Matthew, Katie, Shane, Kenneth Jr. and Cody King and Danny Jr, Tristan and Michael Witt; twelve great grandchildren and special nieces, Vicky, Martha and Maggie.

The family of Minnie King will receive friends at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, Tennessee on Thursday, April 11th, 2019 from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm CDT and Friday, April 12th, 2019 from 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm CDT.

Funeral services will be conducted in the chapel of Tate Funeral Home on Friday, April 12th, 2019 at 2:00 pm CDT with Reverend Jeff Nelson officiating.

Minnie will be laid to rest following the funeral services at Gilliam Cemetery in Battle Creek, Tennessee.
