LINDA FAYE MASSENGALE TURNER

With her family at her side, the Lord called Linda Faye Massengale Turner at the age of 72 years old, home on Sunday, December 15, 2019.    Linda was born and raised in Chattanooga, TN.   Linda had worked for AT&T in Chattanooga for a brief period then making her final career working in their family business at the Catfish House in Chattanooga, TN.

Linda was a very loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother and a true friend to all that knew her.   She enjoyed making time for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.   Her family was her most important treasures of life. Linda’s hobbies included crafts, painting, baking, gardening, and flowers.  Her fondest pastime was spending time at the beach with her family and teaching every child she knew how to swim.

Linda was a faithful Christian of the Baptist faith and was a member of Baptist Hill Baptist Church in Jasper, TN.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Kay and Hattie Mae Massengale; brother-in-law, Wayne Graves and nephew, Brent Graves.

Those to cherish her memories are her husband of 45 years, Charles Turner; daughter, Jodie Gravitt (Tim); brother, Estes Massengale; sisters, Sharon Graves and Donna Carradine; grandchildren, Brandy Lamkin (Lee), Payton Stewart (Dustin) and Josh Gravitt; great-grandchildren, Skylar Gravitt, Kendall Lamkin and Kyntlie Stewart; nieces, Robyn Hanners (Tim) and Codie Blansett (Matt).

The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday, December 17, 2019 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm CT/6:00 pm to 9:00 pm ET at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, TN.

The funeral service will be held in the Chapel of Tate Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at 11:00 pm CT/12:00 noon ET with Pastor Steve Sellers officiating.

Linda will be laid to rest following the funeral service at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens in Jasper, TN.

The family has requested in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the
“Marion County Food Bank” in memory of Linda Turner.
