LILLIAN ELIZABETH MARTIN
With her family at her side, the Lord touched the hand of Lillian Elizabeth Martin, at the age of 91 years young, to say it’s time to come home. Ms. Lillian lived in Sequatchie, TN where her husband, Jack “Rastus” Martin and her raised their family. Being of the Baptist faith, she loved her Lord and Savior. Ms. Lillian had been employed with Rivoli Mills in Jasper, TN as a production seamstress until she retired.
Ms. Lillian loved and adored her children, grandchildren, family and friends. During her pastime she enjoyed working in her flower beds, gardening and spending time with her loved ones.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jack “Rastus” Martin; parents, Bill Hughes and Dama Henegar Hughes; daughter, Regenia Graham; son-in-law, Alvin “Gab” Graham; stepdaughter, Mary Catheryn Bird and sister, Mary Lou Muir.
Those left to cherish Mrs. Lillian’s memories are her son, James “Peck” Welch (Debbie); daughters, Audra Martin Kilgore (Jerry) and Donna Martin Keeler (Stanley); grandchildren, Alvin "Pee Wee" Graham (Misty), Leatha Kilgore Almond, Renee' Kilgore Coppinger (Troy), Amanda Keeler Dalton (Chandon), Bo Welch (Melissa), Aaron Keeler (Brit), Tara Welch (Jake Ambrester) and Bill Welch; seventeen great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren; lifetime friends, Johnnie Chambers and Judy Stiltner along with years of devoted friends.
The family will receive friends on Friday, December 20, 2019 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Saturday, December 21, 2019 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, TN.
The funeral service will be conducted in the Chapel of Tate Funeral Home on Saturday, December 21, 2019 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Roger Webb officiating.
Ms. Lillian will be laid to rest at Pine Grove Cemetery in Jasper, TN. Pallbearers are Hayden Welch, Bo Welch, Bill Welch, Nathan Graham, Alvin "Pee Wee" Graham and Travis Peacock.
