LTC. GLENN EDWARD WILT
LTC. Glenn Edward Wilt, 87, of South Pittsburg, TN passed away on Sunday, January 12th, 2020. Born in Montra, Ohio on October 17th, 1932 to the late Clyde and LaDonna Wilt.
Glenn began his remarkable career in the U.S Army in 1951 following college. He was a decorated veteran of both Vietnam and Korean wars. In 1971, he retired from the ARMY where he served in the EOD Corp.
After the ARMY, Glenn joined the Bureau of ATF as the first Explosives Enforcement Officer in the agency.
Following his time with the BATF, Glenn became the Executive Director with IABTI.
He leaves behind to cherish his memories are his wife, E. Roberta Wilt; sons, Roger K. Wilt of Ft. Myers, FL and Glenn R. Wilt (Cindy) of South Pittsburg, TN and granddaughter, Ashley Nicole Wilt of Estero, FL.
The family will receive friends on Monday, January 20, 2020 at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, TN from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm CST.
Funeral service will be held in the Chapel of Tate Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at 11:00 am with Reverend Joseph Manis officiating.
A full honors military service will be held before he is laid to rest at the Chattanooga National Cemetery in Chattanooga, TN at 1:00 pm CST.
