John “Johnny” Barry Anderson

The Lord said Johnny your battle is over and its time to come home.   John “Johnny” Barry Anderson cross the pearly gates on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at the age of 58.  Johnny was of the Orme community in South Pittsburg, Tennessee.

Johnny had been a laborer during his career before he retired.   He loved wrestling, had a heart of being playful along with being a joking person.   He enjoyed hunting and fishing and had a huge love for Alabama football.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Vickie Pendergrass Simmons and his parents, Andy and Elizabeth Anderson.

Those left to cherish his memories are his brothers, Luther Anderson and Archie (Susan) Anderson; sisters, Susan Anderson, Debbie Anderson and Georgette (John) Cash; brother in law, Ronnie “Pete” Pendergrass  along with numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 10th, 2019 at 11:00 am to 8:00 pm CDT at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, Tennessee.

The funeral service will be conducted in the Chapel of Tate Funeral Home on Saturday, May 11th, 2019 at 12:00 noon CDT.

Johnny will be laid to rest at Mt. View Cemetery in Sherwood, Tennessee following the service.
