John D. Toon

On June 24, 2019, John D. Toon was called home to be with his Lord.   John was born on November 19, 1951 in Huntsville, AL to his proud parents, James and Vasso Toon, whom are preceded in his death.   John grew up Morristown, TN. 

John attended Anderson College and East Tennessee State University.   He was honored as “Outstanding Athlete at Morristown East.  He was Co-Captain of the 1969 AAA State Championship Football Team. 

John was a faithful member of the Church of God in Anderson, Indiana.   He also was an Advocate for National Alliance for the Mentally Ill “NAMI”.

Those left to cherish his memories are his brother, Les (Ruth) Toon; nieces, Miller (Nathan) Foutch and Becca (Kevin) Brown; and grandnieces and grandnephews, Abby, Harper, Sam, Maggie and Amelia.

Private Memorial Service will be made at a later date by the family.
