In the early hours of Monday, August 5, 2019, the Lord called Henry Harrison Layne at the age of 76 home. Harrison was born and raised in Jasper, Tennessee until he made his home in Kimball, Tennessee several years ago. He had been employed along with being a dedicated and loyal Foreman at the Tennessee Alloy Plant in Kimball, TN until his retirement.
Harrison was an amazing son, brother, father, uncle along with a great friend to those he shared his life with. He was a huge Tennessee Volunteer Fan along with loving to fish and sitting on his front porch talking with family and friends or watching the traffic go by. He was a man of humor and loved life to the fullest.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Green and Myrtle Layne; wife, Ann Layne; son, Johnny Layne; brothers, Roy Price and Waymon Layne; and sisters, Gladys Webb, Ann Norvell, Louise Cash and Wilma Rose Layne.
Those left to cherish his memories are his son, Jimmy Layne; brother, Don Layne (Loretta); sister, Faye Blevins (Pete); grandchildren, Chad, Lacey, Kelly, Kevin, Peyton and Bailey; four great-grandchildren along with a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will have visitation on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm CDT and Wednesday, August 7, 2019 from 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm CDT at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, Tennessee.
The funeral service will be held in the Chapel of Tate Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at 1:00 pm CDT with Pastor Ronnie Case and Pastor Keith Layne officiating.
Harrison will be laid to rest after the service at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens in Jasper, Tennessee.
