Ella Bell (Buckner) Yancey

Ella Bell Yancey, left this world to join our Heavenly Father on Thursday, September 6, 2018. She was born March 18, 1918, in Stevenson, Alabama to the late Garfield and Mollie (Elerige) Buckner.

She was preceded in death by her sisters Minnie Lee Hale, Hattie, Dessie, and Louise Buckner; brothers, Andrew, Henry, and Willie B. Buckner; sons, James and Jimmy Yancey.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter in law Emma Yancey; Grandchildren, Stacey (Katrice), Tanya Yancey, Shelia and Anthony McCurdy; devoted friend Mary Lou Myers, beloved nieces and nephew Gloria Jean Buckner, Janice Hale, Tina and Ed Cobb, and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins and friends. The family would also like to acknowledge the Condra Family.

Ella Bell was a devoted and loving mother, daughter, sister and friend. She was a faithful member of New Hope Baptist Church in Jasper, TN, and was a firm believer in our Savior Jesus Christ. Her love for Him shined through in the way she loved and cared for everyone around her. Ella enjoyed spending time with her loved ones, cooking and sewing.

Visitation will be Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. CST.

A Celebration of life Service will be conducted from the Tate Funeral Home Chapel Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. CST with Pastor George Green officiating.

Interment will follow at Anderson Cemetery.
