Dr. Donald R. Howard

Dr. Donald Howard, 83, of Whitwell, TN, passed away Friday, January 19, 2018.

Donald was a Veteran of the United States Navy. He was a retired Leiutenant of Chattanooga Police Department and a retired Baptist Minister.

He was preceded by his parents Van B. Howard and Stella Bryant Howard; sisters Virginia Perryman, Martha Mays Holt, Patricia Hardin; brother Jimmy Lee Howard.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 62 years Mary Gertrude Billingsley Howard; sons Donald Ray (Gayle) Howard Jr.; daughter Donna Renee` (Robert) Campbell; sisters Lou Harbin, Shirley Frazier; grandchildren Natalie Bannon, Amanda Howard, Britney Forshee, Luke Howard; several Great Grandchildren ; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Monday, January 22, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. CST.

Funeral Services will be conducted from the Tate Funeral Home Chapel Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. CST with Bro. Jeff Nelson officiating.

Interment will follow at Caroline’s Chapel Cemetery with Full Military Honors presented by The Sequatchie Valley Honor Guards
