CHARLES “Boo” EDWIN APPLETON
At the eve of the night on Wednesday, April 3rd, 2019, Charles Edwin Appleton, at the age of 63, was called Home to be with his Heavenly God. Charles was a lifetime resident of Bridgeport, Alabama until he moved to the South Pittsburg, Tennessee area in 1995. Boo graduated from Bridgeport High School. He was of the Catholic faith and attended Lady of Lourdes Church in South Pittsburg, Tennessee.
Charles had a career as a maintenance assistant at Marriott until his retirement. His maintenance career kept him busy tinkering with lawn mowers, weed eaters and cars. He enjoyed all sports and automobiles. His greatest love was his wife, Rita Appleton and his children, however, his greatest past time was spending time and making memories with his grandchildren.
He was born on October 17, 1955 to the loving parents, Harry “Geno” and Mary Jo Appleton whom now precede him in death.
Those left to cherish his memories is his wife of the past 12 years, Rita Appleton; sons, Chris Appleton, Jeremy (Cheyenne) Appleton, Joshua (Jillian) Stephens and Matthew (Lacy) Stephens; two brothers, Robert (Suzette) Appleton and Paul (Gina) Appleton, sister, Donna Appleton along with grandchildren, Isabella, Kinsley and Hadley Stephens and Jeremiah Appleton.
The family will receive friends on Friday, April 5th, 2019 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm CDT at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, Tennessee.
The funeral services will be held at Tate Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, April 6th, 2019 at 2:00 pm CDT with Father Mark Scholz and Pastor Brad Bridgman officiating.
Charles will be laid to rest at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens in Jasper, Tennessee following the funeral services.
