Burton Newsom

Burton Newsom, 81 of Sequatchie, TN, passed away Thursday, September 7, 2017.

He was a Veteran Of The United States Navy. He was  of Baptist Faith and a member of Sequatchie Mtn. Baptist Church. He was a member of The Masonic Lodge #297 of Jasper, TN.

He was preceded in death by his parents Carl & Nellie Newsom; sister Carrie Shoemake & Carlene Shadrick;

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 42 years of marriage Sue Newsom; son Tim Newsom; daughter Jennifer Leann (Jarrod) Cardin; sisters Norm Shelton , Marlene (Jerry) Sutterfield; grandchildren Drake & Macey Cardin; several nieces & nephews.

Visitation will be Sunday, September 10, 2017 from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. CST and Monday September 11, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. CST until time of service at 2:00 p.m. CST.

Funeral Services will be conducted from the Funeral Home Chapel Monday, September 11, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. CST with Bro. Doug Carpenter and Bro. Travis Watson officiating. Mr. Newsom will receive Full Military Honors presented by The Sequatchie Valley Honor Guards.

Interment will follow at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens.
