James W. (Buddy) Belk

James W. Belk passed away September 11, 2017 at Hospice care center in Chattanooga, TN.

He was a Veteran of The United U.S. Army serving in Baumholder , Germany.

He retired from Norfolk Southern Railway after 29 ½  years of service. A member of Baptist Hill Church of Jasper, TN.  Where he had served as Sunday school Teacher, Deacon, Training Union Director and youth director.  Buddy was a kind and loving husband, father, and paw paw. He will be sadly missed by many people he touched along the way. He will be remembered for his smile and sense of humor and making people smile.

He was preceded in death by infant son William Stanley Belk; Mother & Father Claude and Penney Belk ; sister Nancy Dalton.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 54 years Barbara Ann Dalton Belk; daughter Sharon Lynne (Jim) Davis; son Jeffery Lamar Belk; grandson Andy (Krissi) Rector; great grandchildren Kaleigh & Elijah Rector; sister Polly Taylor ; brother Donald Belk.

Visitation will be Wednesday, September 13, 2017 from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. CST.

Funeral Services will be conducted from the Funeral Home Chapel Thursday, September 14, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. CST with Bro. Steve Sellers and Bro. Roger Webb officiating. .

Interment will follow at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens. There will be Full Military Honors presented by The Sequatchie Valley Honor Guard.
