Billy Benson White

Billy Benson White, 86, of South Pittsburg, TN, passed away peacefully Tuesday, February 6, 2018 and is now reunited with loved ones in his heavenly home.

Bill was born February 12, 1931 to Arch Sr. and Molly White;

Bill was a Veteran of the United States Army and a member of the Grace Baptist Church. He was a retiree from Penn Dixie Cement. After his retirement Bill owned his own truck hauling business for 20 years. He was a hard worker and had donated his time by volunteering construction work on Hwy 72 where he planted all the Crape Myrtles as your coming into South Pittsburg.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Helen Rogers; brothers Arch White Jr., John T. White; sister Fran Bristol, Mary Jane Lawhorne and Clare Helen Latshaw.

Those left to share his memory are his companion for many years Linda Beckmann; his children Darlene (Steve) Grace of Palm Beach FL., Walter (Sissy) White of South Pittsburg, TN, Pam (Lance) Reddick Ft. Lauderdale FL.; brother Carl (Sue) White; sister Bonnie Sisk; grandchildren Josh Mantooth, LeAnn Gross, Russ Rogers & Rock Rogers; great grandchildren Jacob Mantooth, Myles Hudson, Bella Gross; several nieces & nephews.

Visitation will be held Friday, February 9, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. CST and Saturday, February 10, 2018 from 12:00 p.m. until time of service.

Funeral Services will be conducted in the Tate Funeral Home Chapel Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. CST with Bro. Darrell Nunley officiating. There will be Full Military Honors presented by The Sequatchie Valley Honor Guards.

Interment will follow at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens.
