Betty Stubblefield Wilson Obituary

The angels sang as the Lord called Betty Sue Stubblefield Wilson home on Tuesday morning, March 5, 2019.  Betty was born and lived most of her life in Stevenson, Alabama until she made her home in Kimball, Tennessee.   She was born on March 28, 1946 and gained her wings at the age of 72.

Betty adored her life with great admiration along with the enjoyment of beautiful flowers.   She loved her family, dancing, painting along with any art work, and especially shopping at the Goodwill.  Her greatest love was celebrating her birthday.  It wasn’t just that one day, she celebrated the entire month of March.  This month along with years to come she will be celebrating and dancing her “special” day in heaven.

She was preceded in death by her parents; John and Maggie Stubblefield; son in law, Sidney Shankles; life partner, Robert Crawford; brother in law, Ralph Phillips and granddaughter, Jennifer Talley.

The ones left to continue her memories are her son, Thomas (Linda) Eddie Davis; daughters, Sherry Shankles, Jeannie (Allen) Steele, Sandy (Wylie) Talley, Angie (Jerry) VanAllman, and Samantha (Gene) Anderson; brothers, Tommy Stubblefield, Carl (Carolyn) Stubblefield, and Walter Glenn (Jeannette) Stubblefield; sisters, Marie (Desi) Castillo and Linda Gail Phillips.    She leaves behind eleven (11) grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren along with family and special friends.

The family wishes to say a special thank you to Betty’s dear caregivers and loved friends, Rita Campbell and Betty Hogwood.   They will forever be grateful to the two of them for the love and care they showed to Mrs. Betty.

The family will receive family and friends on Thursday, March 7th, 2019 from 2:00 pm CST to 8:00 pm CST at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, Tennessee.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 8th, 2019 at 2:00 pm CST in the Chapel at Tate Funeral Home.

Betty will be laid to rest following the funeral services by her life partner, Robert Crawford at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens, Jasper, Tennessee.
