WANDA FAYE SMEDLEY

Wanda Faye Smedley, 81, of Wildwood, Georgia was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on March 5, 2024.  On May 15, 1942, she was born to the late Gordon Henson and Reva Pursley Henson.  She was married to the late David Carlton Smedley, Sr.  Wanda was a homemaker and loved the Lord.  She had a love for religion and studied them all.  Wanda enjoyed doing yardwork and gardening.  She loved spending time with her family, especially her great grandchildren.

Wanda is preceded in death by her father, Gordon Henson; mother, Reva Pursley Henson; husband, David Carlton Smedley, Sr. and sister, Glenda Henson.

Left to cherish her memories are her son, David Carlton Smedley, Jr.; brother, Eston (Brenda) Henson; grandchild, Sarah Smedley (Josh) Hahn; great grandchildren, Kohl and Sam Hahn, several other family members and friends.

Visitation is Thursday, March 7, 2024, from 1:00 to 1:20 pm CT at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, Tennessee.

There will be a graveside service on Thursday, March 7, 2024, at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens in Jasper, Tennessee at 1:30 pm CT with Pastor Kevin Shelton officiating.
