BRENDA SMITH

Brenda Smith, 66 of Jasper, Tennessee was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on January 30, 2024.  Her parents were Andrew Long and Bertie Havner Long.  She was born on January 13, 1958.  Brenda was married to Scottie Smith.  Brenda worked in retail for Walmart.  She loved animals and visiting the Smokey Mountains.  Brenda had a very strong faith and shared her testimony with everyone she met.  She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Brenda is preceded in death by her father, Andrew Long; mother, Bertie Havner Long; daughter, Tonya Lynn Corley and brother, Kenneth Long.

Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Scottie Smith; brother, Billy (Vickie) Dagnan; sisters, Vernie Anthony, Sherry VanAllman, Patricia Brophy, Melissa McKinney; grandchildren, Miranda (Chris) Payne, Brook (Jesse) McFalls; great grandchildren, Sean McFalls, Aubree McFalls, Xander Payne; several nieces, nephews, other family members and special friends.

Visitation is Thursday, February 1, 2024, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm, on Friday February 2, 2024, from 12:00 Noon to 8:00 pm and Saturday, February 3, 2024, from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 pm CT at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, Tennessee.

Funeral services are Saturday, February 3, 2024, at 2:00 pm CT in the Chapel of Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, Tennessee with Pastor Adam Ramsey and Pastor Chris VanAllman officiating.

Brenda will be laid to rest on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens in Jasper, Tennessee immediately following the funeral service.

Pallbearers are Ricky Corley, Jesse McFalls, Daniel VanAllman, Austin VanAllman, Keith Thomas, Mack Wileman.  Honorary pallbearer, Billy Dagnan.
